WinDev8(WD8) Essentials: It is place where only Microsoft manufactured products for Windows are placed. For example I have placed the Windows Movie Maker, Windows Media Centre, Microsoft Office 2009, Internet Explorer 10 & Windows Live Photo Gallery. This WD8 Essentials dock can be switched off & on according to your needs.

Windows Media Player(WMP): You can see the compact mode of WMP in the Screenshot [1], [2] & [5]. This compact CD Art Display will be swiched ON automatically whnever a Audio File is played in WMP. You can see the Video Mode of WMP in the Screenshot [2] & [5]. Full screen view can be activated by double clicking on the Video or by siply pressing Alt+ENTER

Hard Disk Drive Display (HD3): HD3 is a new feature in WD8, in this all the disk drives with labels are displayed permaently on the desktop. You can click the disk drive icons to visit the drives. If a virtual drive or if a USB Flash Drive is inserted then a new drive icon will automatically be displayed on the desktop. The H3D feature can be seen in all the screenshots except the Fourth One.

Turn Off & Log Off Windows: Careful the Log Off & Turn Off Windows buttons & Frames are made of pure metallic clay & are polished to shine. I just love how the small & delicate icons came out in these windows.

WD8 Login: I never loved the full screen log in that Windows Offers. That's why I have come up with this futuristic log in window which is semi transparent & has Red Bubble Tool Tip Labels for the Icons. The Icons in the Login Window are (L to R) Sleep, Turn Off, Restart and Login In.

Dock (Screenshot [1], [3] & [5] above taskbar): Just a small addition to my future OS. I just love this dock. Simply futuristic. The dock also has the Red Bubble Tool Tip Labels for the displayed Icons.

Start Button Orb(SBO): The SBO shows the WD8 Logo. I have defined the Pressed, Over & Normal mode of the Orb in the PSD.

Start Menu: I just love this Start Menu. Again, this Start Menu is made by pure Metallic Clay & is polished to shine.

Task Bar: I simply love the look of this too. As you can, I have defined all the events of the taskbar.

About WD8: This is again a small Window which show almost all the configuration details of the OS & Hardware. I have placed a Check Updates button in the about window so that the user can check the updates then & there itself.

Sidebar: I have just shown a sample Gloss of the sidebar. The sidebar base can be made transparent too. The details of the Gadgets can be found below:
- Weather: A normal Weather Widget. Double click on this Widget to show the entire detailed view of the weather in your City / Coountry.
- Clock: This clock is normal Analog Clock and the one this special about this is that the background dial of the clock can be default or User Defined.
- Google Search Widget: A simple Web Connected Google Search Widget. You can now do all the searching without opening your browser. I find this widget quite cool.
- Radio Widget: A normal Radio widget which is capable of browsing the channels of the whole world. The only thing needed by this Radio is Internet Connection.
- Recycle Bin Widget: A simple but stylish widget to show your Recycle Bin status. Red is for Full & Blue is for Empty.

Last but not the least you can see a cool blue "+" button. By clicking on this button you can add or Remove widgets to or from your sidebar.

Explorer Mode (Screenshot [3]): The explorer mode of WD8, will give you a whole new experience of tabbed exploration. The Colors Yellow, Red, Green & Blue shows the signficance that the OS you are working on is Windows. The Blue color tab will be activated when you click the 'New Tab +'. As soon as you request a new tab, a small window will open that will ask you the location of the place on your computer that you want to browse. The Tab feature can be very well switched off from the settings in the Control Panel. Whenever I work with my favorite graphics program then I often end up opening a dozen of windows on my taskbar. But many a times it works looks a hassle & I often open the wrong window. That's why I thought of a Explorer Tab in normal computer OS. I am so thankful that browsers comes with a tabbed browsing utility else It would have been so hard to work.

Internet Explorer 10(IE10): In the fourth Screenshot you can see my dream Internet Explorer made by the dry metallic clay. I simply love this browser Interface.

Progress Bar & Downloads: The fifth screenshot shows you my dream progress bar & the downloads window of the browser. This download window contains an option of getting itseld merged with the browser rather than showing itself sepeartely. But if that feature is enabled then still your current downloads will not be terminated when you close the browser. The window will automatically pop out if any downloads are still remaining to be completed.

Chat Messenger Program: In the sixth screenshot you can see the MSN Messenger in Metallic Clay Style.

Calculator: Also, in the sixth Screenshot you can see a simple calculator. I made the calculator so that others can get the idea as to how the button appearance will be for the theme.

Windows Media Centre: In the seventh & the final screenshot I have made a Windows Media Centre Interface. The interfcace I have shown is in windowed mode. Gave a glass finish to the edges of the window. The background of the windows media centre will be transparent with lined pattern. Although, the transparency will be 0% in Full screen mode. The Buttons are not transparent in either of the modes.

This is the first time that I have manipulated my own photographs as Wallpapers. The photographs I used were of wooden materials & grass.

Icons - All the Icons in the preview are created by me. The main Icon set used in the preview of the skin is yet to be released while most other icons can be found & downloaded from my Gallery. I will release the main Icon set after 27th June, 2009.

Wallpapers- I have created eight wallpapers exclusively for this theme. All the wallpapers are sized at the highest resolution of 2560x1600. Dual Screen Resolutions won't be available. I will make the standard screen wallpaper resolution later. They will sized at the maximum 1600x1200.
